The first version of this thread was cool. Let's try it again.
You have 1 minute to conceive a profound statement and post it. Two sentences or less.
It doesn't matter how poorly founded it is, just post it and let us contemplate it.
Trump is going full retard every day and MSM rightfully shits him but nobody cares or takes it seriously because the MSM spent 8 years treating Obama as muh perfect negro Jesus.

My gf is a lawyer and I'm based out in the sticks in a military base. She said it must be rubbish out there because there's nothing there, "like almost no lawyers" apart from one or two crap little ones doing boring stuff.
I told her law isn't everything. She said that it pretty much is.
So I came up with (off the top of my head right now)
>You're in an echo chamber. All you see is law, but while law may be everywhere so is politics, so is finance, so is health, so are headhunters and recruiters and engineers. They're all everywhere and they all depend on or use each other when needed.
>You're misguided in thinking that your everything is everyone's everything - you live in an enclosed world
Her arrogance pissed me off a little bit

Uhh, the second greentext is my "statement", the rest is just background context...
Freedom and Security are polar opposites. The foundation of ideology is trying to figure out how much security you can trade for liberty, and vice versa, and then pushing it onto others.
There is literally nothing wrong with being reactionary. Learning from new experiences ought to be a good thing,

Is her metric for how enjoyable a place is based on how many lawyers there are?
Sounds like she's just high on self importance, that doesn't really make sense.
It is a mistake to try and determine the "veracity" of a belief or belief-system without examining how it structures the relationship of its adherents toward reality. Much of what we perceive as "the real" is not quite as existentially-fixed as we tend to presume, and the notion of existential "locality" is necessary to devise a coherent model of our world.

The Internet has made a more united global youth culture than ever before in history. Conservatism growing in spite of this is indicative of a larger symptom of the human condition.

Conflict is as inevitable as death. Like death, you cannot forbear it, but you can learn to cope with it when it occurs and in the right state, transcend it.

>Sokal, the post
Good job. Let's turn this into Sokal, the thread.

At it's beginning and at it's end, the Roman legions were nothing more than an unorganized barbarian rabble.

I think therefore I am profound.
