>Have the entire fate of your country fall on your shoulders.
>Have to put up with Wilhelm's nonsense.
>Have to fucking drag your dead-weight allies along.
>Only took a few days off throughout the entire war.
>Lost his sons during the war.

Was there anyone more deserving of a hug throughout /his/?

He deserves a bullet in the head.

>shit general
>his offensive was a total failure
>begged for armistice
>made up the stab in the back myth to avoid responsibility for his failures
>supported right wing extremists undermining the new democratic government
>indirectly responsible for the rise of the Nazis

>>Have to fucking drag your dead-weight allies along.

Shitty meme. The Austrians gave majority control of their forces to Germans after the first year or so and were the majority of troops on the Eastern Front while holding the Italian Front more or less on their own. The Ottomans and Bulgarians frequently sabotaged their own goals to help Germany.

t. Gauleiter Erik Shekelstein

Ludendorff's shitty offensive depleted whatever strength the German army had remaining. Whether or not the Germans had a chance of winning in 1917 is debatable - I'd argue it was slim but as the guy in charge he has to bear the responsibility of the defeat.

His conduct after the war was reprehensible.

>we agree to an armistice under the conditions of the 14 points
>Treaty of Versailles has nothing to do with 14 points.

>communist revolutionaries organize strikes and violent revolution cutting off supplies to the front

Seems pretty reasonable to me. Same story in the US with Vietnam. Seems like Ludendorff actually belived it.

>we agree to an armistice under the conditions of the 14 points
>Treaty of Versailles has nothing to do with 14 points.
People always say this, but where did Versailles actually contradict the 14 points?
>>

not to mention he became more and more tinfoil tier as the 1920s wore on and by the 30s he was in total obscurity. it's wierd to think that he even had the life he did considering the dramatic turn he took after the war.
>>

Stop lying.

The revolution started with German sailors refusing to obey a suicidal order. All the councils and most of the revolutionaries were socialist and the communists weren't even popular among the workers.

>implying

He went on trial for treason in 1922 right alongside Adolf, numbnuts. He's directly responsible for their rise because he took part in the fucking Beer Hall Putsch.

>national self determination
>German empire severed into pieces but polish majority areas still exist
>germany denied the possibility of unifying with austria to make an national german state
>huge german minorities in the sudetenland
then theres
>A free, open-minded, and absolutely impartial adjustment of all colonial claims, based upon a strict observance of the principle that in determining all such questions of sovereignty the interests of the populations concerned must have equal weight with the equitable government whose title is to be determined.
lol, did the frogs and anglos yield a single inch of colonial lands to the natives? nope. maybe a of autonomy to india and egyt, and white dominated south africa
>IX. A readjustment of the frontiers of Italy should be effected along clearly recognizable lines of nationality.
>what is fiume

>X. The people of Austria-Hungary, whose place among the nations we wish to see safeguarded and assured, should be accorded the freest opportunity to autonomous development.
hmmm, i wondered how that turned out? it wasn't covered in versailles, of course, but trianon, but the severing of austrohungary was awful and done awfully.

also forgot to add the """"mandates"""" given france and britain in the middle east and africa, which totally contravened the spirit of self-determination. the syrians actually rebelled against the french throughout the 1920s and the French went so far as to bomb damascus with planes in one of the first instances of aerial bombardment of civies
