The West's various culture wars between atheism/agnosticism/deism and Christianity lasted centuries but accumulated with complete defeat of Western Christendom in the mid 20th century IMO. This is a mistake because a society can't run on a shallow, godless society controlled by a technocracy.

It's finished half of the time people claim it never existed as a distinct entity the other half of the time people are actively working to destroy everything about it as a matter of pride.

"Western collapse" has been a common anxiety for centuries. Nothing will happen.

That is why I put it in quotes. Similar "hurr this other culture/cultures are going to destroy us" mentalities have existed forever.
