Anyone here learning Latin?
Subjunctive passive is raping my brain.

I did it in first year but failed because I discovered vagoo and spent more time with that than books. Basically you just need autistic resolve. Do you use Oxford issue textbooks? They walk you through things gently

We use Wiley's Real Latin. It's not gentle at all. It's very concise and nearly everything MUST be memorised. Also the translation exercises it gives you are insanely difficult.

What do you find difficult about it?
Would being fluent in both english and make latin easier to learn?

I find it difficult to recognise regular verb forms. Subjunctives make my head spin.

English and what?

French

Yeah it would make it very easy I'd say. If you know English and a Romance language you're set.

I studied latin for 5 years at high school. I can't even think an english phrase in which i use a subjunctive passive verb. In italian isn't common but you can easily make examples. How does your textbook explain it?
>Subjunctive passive
So I've never studied Latin but I assume its something like this Spanish phrase
>que el libro sea vendido

It's not the idea that I'm finding difficult, but rather the application. I'm really really bad and recognising verbs. Having these verbs that differ by only a single letter is really confusing for me.

I am no hablo espanol amigo
Yeah. It's less fun than it sounds.
