I think that people don't really realize that common people already had communism for eons. For as long as there have been agrarian villages there has been communism.

Most agrarian villages practices a way of life that is very similar to how "modern communism" is supposed to work.
-No one "owns" any land.
-People work to fill up the village granary.
-Everyone gets their fair share from granary.
-Elders would judge wrongdoers.
-etc

But we are not living in medieval times anymore. So, communism has no place in a modern world.
