What the fuck is this ideology?

Juan Peron himself was pretty nationalistic and populist, but the Peronist presidents that followed after are globalist leftists who support open borders and welfare?

But then again I'm an Anglo so maybe I'm missing something important.
>>
Actually its more of a "big-tent" populist style party with many internal factions
Hence why you get literally fascist Peron and leftist Kirschners from the same party

Alright, that makes more sense.

The other politicians should use a different label though

...and then the wars stopped...and beef and ore were less of a thing...and the Arabs turned dark green.

Don't worry, they'll go back to nothing after the oil money runs out
>>
It was really anything that worked. Juan was Pragmatic.
I'd say it is a sort of odd third position that all the fascists say they're after.
He was populist and would almost certainly support trade and labor unions and was generally skeptical of big employers. He utilized labor strikes, so he is automatically crossed off the list for being a capitalist/conservative but even still, the way he treated enemies and universes was decidedly fascist, if I had to say, it was left leaning.

Universities, Juan isn't the Anti-Monitor
>>

Nah they ate investing pretty damn well and oil will always be big.
>>
Pure populism.

I lived in the North of Argentina for a while and dated a Peronista, so I got to attend a couple of their rallies.

It's mostly music and free food for the poor, with a couple speeches. Peronist politicians also lend land to poor families in exchange for political support.

I wouldn't call it left or right wing. The best explanation of it I ever heard was essentially summed up as:
"Political parties need to find the balance between giving out free stuff to the poor and going bankrupt, and Macri doesn't give out enough free stuff, while Kirschner gives out too much".

Considering that there's multiple Peronist fractions spread across the political spectrum, I'd say it's more of an Argentinian identity thing than anything.

>What the fuck is this ideology?
It means nothing ideologically. There are neoliberals, neonazis, and communists (and anything else you might think of) who call themselves peronists. It's just a tag for people who want power.

>the Peronist presidents that followed after are globalist leftists who support open borders and welfare
Not really. Menem was a neoliberal and the kirchners were protectionists.

That's what you're missing.

Back in the days of Perón it was Mussolini inspired personality cult (for example history books in elementary schools were filled with mentions of Perón and Evita), conservative in many issues, nationalistic, populist, corporativism and state ran unions that supported Perón and he supported them. Back then those who didn't like him were the middle classes and university students. His second term as president he lost support, made mistakes, and got coup'd, with public support.
The next governments were shit, so the poor missed Perón, who had been good for them, many of their children had been able to get an education so they too missed Perón but knew nothing of him, things were getting so bad and violent that even the middle class that opposed him considered his return a good thing.
He returned almost 20 years later, but the face of Peronism had change, no longer did it rely on union leaders and corporativism, it was now filled with socialists, communists and left leaning people.
Perón said of Cámpora, his predecessor and the guy who had been running the movement in Peron's absence
>What has Cámpora done for me? He has filled the government with lefties and faggots
What followed was the right and left side of Peronism fighting, Perón went back to his usual side, being backed by union leaders and business owners on his side, and the new Peronist left saw it as Perón being controlled by the "gorillas" who had been running and controlling things and wanted to rescue him, or something similar, not sure what they wanted exactly.
Those two groups came to blows, there were some deaths, and then Perón dies.
His Vice President and wife, Isabel de Perón, becomes president and she and her advisors fuck up the economy so hard that in comes another public backed military coup.
Nowadays every politician is a Peronist even if they don't share any views with each other.

Very one sided review of peronism. Leftist peronists didn't come out of thin air, peron was sending pro socialist messages all throughout his exile.

Neither peronism nor peron himself have a defined ideology aside from their search for power and pragmatism.
>>
>>2346637
Original peronism was just fascism 2.0 but current peronism (aka false peronism) is libtard trash
>>
>>2349074
You are right with the messages, but when he returned he ignored the left of Peronism, since he didn't need them anymore, after they or him back
Pretty shit ideology to be honest
