Martially, German meaning mostly Prussian military tradition is no joke, hell it was their main advantage rather than muh krup stahl and secret weapons memes. Germany's problem in both World Wars was resources, and that German industrial effeciency is a meme, and it wasn't helped by the German unwillingness of realize their logistics weren't up to snuff and adapt. The Soviets had less material resources in some cases, and still managed to maintain a more effecient tank production.
Germany has performed pretty well considering what they were up against.
