What went wrong during his presidency? What went right?

Did some good shit but expanded the power of the state too much in order to get it done. Ultimately Trump tier.

Sounds pretty Trumpian

What Went Right
>Civilian Conservation Corps
>Tennessee Valley Authority
>Social Security (Worked good until LBJ fucked it)
>Lend-Lease
>Works Progress Administration
>Intervention in WW2
What Went Wrong
>Court Packing
>Roosevelt Recession
>Japanese Internment
>Buddying up a bit too much with Stalin
>>2319148
>buddying up with Stalin
The alternative was letting Germany win WW2
>>2319148
>Japanese Internment
It was war. I'm not saying it wasn't unfair for certain people, but if I were FDR I'd rather be remembered for a racist decision than be remember as the guy who lost the war

I wasn't implying Roosevelt should have given Stalin the finger, but he didn't exactly voice many objections to Stalin carving up half of Europe.

Still proved to be an ultimately pointless measure fueled by paranoia that imprisoned thousands of American citizens without trial.
The man served 4 terms as President, there are bound to be fuck-ups. FDR did pretty well all told. The only legitimately and irrefutably despicable thing he did was try to pack the Supreme Court. He can go to hell for that one.
FDR was a crippled nutjob and his economic policies were junk. He had many EOs rescinded by Congress because of his retardation.

If Trump did 10% of what FDR did, he'd probably be impeached. Internment camps, court packing, total control over industry, etc.

>Still proved to be an ultimately pointless measure
Right, but at the time there was reason to believe that they could be a threat, even if now we know they weren't really. It wasn't a very nice policy, but its not like he sent them to death camps or anything.
