Pretty much every alleged appearance of the Virgin Mary is now accompanied by a Sun Miracle on some scale or another, with believers swearing they saw it regardless of what the church says of its veracity.

Fatima is fake as fuck. For that matter, all alleged Marian apparitions are faked; if not purposely faked, they're pious frauds that are seized upon by the Church in order to maintain its relevancy.

You'll notice they always occur during times when the Catholic Church is facing secular backlash, and it appropriates a supposed 'visionary' event in order to initiate a reactionary backlash.
