Dude, Cromwell and the Puritans were absolutely hated by the Anglicans and Presbyterians, they put the Stuarts back in power for a reason, that reason was the vilification of Cromwell.

That's overly simplistic though, the Puritans were primarily a reforming group within Anglicanism so to say they were hated by Anglicans doesn't necessarily make sense.
