German soldiers of a Luftwaffe Field Division (?) looting American bodies in Belgium. Basic censorship scribbles have been added to temporarily obscure anything that might reveal the location. Better censorship would be done later.

Not that many as this BdM chapter was from Bavaria.
Also the red army actually raped more Polish and Ukrainian girls than Germans because the German population was manipulated to fear the Russian untermensch through Goebbels propaganda, many Germans fled or hid, Polish actually thought they were liberated.
>There is evidence that a loophole in the Soviet directives might have contributed to even greater number of rapes committed on Polish women by the Red Army soldiers, according to Jerzy Kochanowski from the University of Warsaw.[10] German women were protected (at least partially) by strict instructions about their treatment during transfer, issued by the Soviet command. However, there were no such instructions, or any instructions whatsoever about the Poles. In the County of Leszno some "war commanders" began to openly claim that their soldiers needed to have sex. At the same time, the farms given to Poles arriving from Kresy were robbed of anything of value by the Red Army, especially agricultural equipment left behind by the Germans.[10]
Russians are animals.

>Interesting mix of armaments. Romanian M1893 carbines, A-H M1895 rifles and carbines, and at least one Turkish M1890 Mauser
The most well known rifle used by IMRO was the manlicher, its in a lot of songs, all bolt action rifles in Macedonia are commonly known as "maliheri" or manlichers, IMRO had a large variety of weapons, mostly manlichers and berdankas , but martini henrys were also famous, mostly because they were produced locally in Tetovo, pic related.
>chetniks
Kek, most chetniks were former IMRO voivods who fell out of favor with imro and were declared renegades or bandits.
>>2308920
Chetnik became an official military job in the Army of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes; they were assault troops and got their own cute little Mauser carbines with special double-edged dagger bayonet.
>>2308933
Ah you mean the Chetniks of the Yugoslav army, i was talking about the original Chetniks, from the Serbian committee.

That's cool as hell.
After the collapse of the german army in the russian Vistuala offensive, survivors withdrew towards the Reich, trying to find a way through the mass of Soviet armies. They were known as 'wandering pockets', fighting their way or slipping from one encirclement to another, cannibalizing vehicles to keep going and ruthlessly destroying guns and equiptment which could no longer be used. The strongest and best known of these was based on General Nehring's Panzer Corps. It absorbed other stragglers and units, and sacrificed two tanks to prop up a bridge over which the lighter vehicles rushed before it collapsed. Nehring, helped by the unwitting choice of a route which ran roughly along the boundary between Zhukov's armies and Konev's, managed to avoid major engagements. In a brief radio message, Nehring heard that General von Saucken's Grossdeutschland Corps would try to link up with them. This they managed to do in heavy fog in 21 January. The combined group then withdrew to eventual safety beyond the Oder on 27 January.

Name is from word "Četa" which means Squad on serbian, or "Četovanje" which can be translated as some kind of partisan-guerilla war.

It does seem like a bit much work, but iirc that's a beach on the north coast of france so it's pretty important. You could imagine a commander being in charge of building defenses over time and wanting to be able to visualize terrain.
