if so, what socialist policies did he implement?
No /pol/ pls

Not after 1934 when the social part of the movement was purged.
The regime allied itself with the junkers and industrialist, so any "socialist" policy was superficial at best.

It was socialism if you were a straight white German
I think Hitler explained somewhere that National Socialism merely meant something like "National solidarity". But that's already implied by Nationalism so it would be a bit redundant.

No.
There were some leftist elements in the party, but they were purged (e.g. Night of the Long Knives).
The "socialist" in National Socialist either doesn't mean anything or has a completely different, non-leftist, denotation.

It's much more comparable to present-day social democracy.
leftist part of their party was purged yes we know that but the reason why is that its to appease Hitler's corporate backers
Do you mean socialism as the internationalist movement whose worldview is shaped by the notion of a trans-national class struggle and believes in siding with one of these classes and taking power in the state to use for said class? If so, obviously not.
Do you mean socialism as in anti-free market, anti-free trade, heavily interventionist economy? If so, obviously yes.

Hitler turned away from socialism in the early 30s.
>Adolf is a swine. He will give us all away. He only associates with reactionaries now. His old friends aren't good enough for him. Getting matey with the East Prussian generals. They're his cronies now. Adolf is turning into a gentleman. He's got himself a tail-coat now. Adolf knows exactly what I want. I've told him often enough. Not a second edition of the old imperial army. Are we revolutionaries or aren't we? Allons, enfants de la patrie! If we are, then something new must arise out of our élan, like the mass armies of the French Revolution. If we're not, then we'll go to the dogs.
- Ernst Rohm

Internationalist socialism is technically Jewish socialism so there's always some national aspect involved.

Sure is a good thing that Hitler killed Ernst Rohm and others like him.

It was, first and foremost, an authoritarian movement that strived for power by all necessary means. They were tricky bastards when it came to coming to power. Pic related is the best explanation for the "socialist" part of the party's name.

Translation:
First sign: (national) SOCIALIST (german) WORKERS' PARTY
"Before the plebs"
Second sign: NATIONAL (socialist) GERMAN (worker's) PARTY
"Before the solvent circles"

Before the plebs and before the solvent circles.

Hitler was a traitor.

that's really quite good heh heh
Only thing that matters is real socialism.
Government controlling all major industries either by owning them (nationalisized) or controlling closely what they are allowed to manufacture? Check.
Pervasive security organs? Check.
Large part of budget going to armed forces? Check.
Collectivization of agriculture? No.
Internal enemy? Check.
Imperialistic policies? Check.
Restrictions on religions? Check.
Restriction on firearm ownership? Check.
Not allowing labour movements? Check.
So the only real difference to communism was that they didn't implement collectivization of agriculture.
Either Soviet communism wasn't 'real socialism' or National Socialism was socialism. Your choice, dear apologist.
