why isn't he seen as evil as Genghis Khan
is it because he is part of the Western world?

He spread his culture instead of destroying others. He also learned to adopt some of the ways of the Middle Eastern people later in his life, proving that he wasn't just a bloodthirsty warlord like the Mongols. Also, he's possibly the greatest military genius this world has ever seen and deserves respect for that.

Greater genius than Khan or Hannibal?

Without a doubt. He never lost a battle.

what were Alexander's innovations which allowed Macedonia to be an unstoppable fighting force against Persia?

Well they weren't his innovations, they were his father's, who is somewhat underrated compared to his son. Philip gave his son the most disciplined and powerful force in Eurasia at that time and Alexander, a total prodigy, ran with it. Simple things like recruiting specialised troops like a bunch of tribal warriors perfect for climbing vertical faces, using sarissa long pikes which could outrange any enemy's, an emphasis on heavy cavalry for screening the enemy, limiting the size of the baggage train etc.

could Alexander's macedon army of defeated Sparta?
>>2290342
Never. The Spartans were the greatest soldiers in history and were trained from birth to kill to the extent that they were essentially almost supersoldiers. Sparta never even needed walls because its soldiers were so skilled in killing. Sparta was legendary even in the ancient world for being basically unbeatable, and they pretty much single handedly destroyed Xerxes and his army in the battle of the 300 Spartans.

The Mongols did all of these too
>Alexander
He killed browns.
>Mongol
He killed whites, browns, and yellows.

nice bait
>>2290311
the mongols literally did all of that.
>>2290300
He didn't put millions of people to the sword simply for being different.
>>2290342
As someone who has studied Alexander's campaigns extensively, I would say yes he probably could have conquered Sparta. But he didn't, because:
>he didn't need to
>it would have been bad for his image in Greece. considering how utterly he rekt the Thebans etc, he didn't need to stir up any more resentment in Greece than he already had before embarking on his Persian expedition
I've never seen anyone actually thinking Genghis Khan was 'evil'.
