I know few Barbadians who think this way. They usually see it as rich vs poor than black vs white. While white people here are usually richer, and the common person will assume a white person is rich, most of the conflicts are class based as opposed to race.

In some cases yes, in most cases no. The majority of whites left were the petite blancs, who supported the French revolution but not the Haitian one. The remaining landowners were a mixed bag, some were supportive of toussaint but others were ones who still retained landed property but wanted slavery back. As for groups like the poles and the Germans, they were in exceptional circumstances, and ended up becoming legally black.
