The New Testament is pretty silly, if you think about it. It's padded a ton and has the same story told four times in a row, then Acts, then a bunch of loosely connected letters, then an acid trip about a red dragon and a seven-eyed lamb and God riding a horse across the land and slaying people with His sword-tongue.

It's like they didn't know how to end it, so they went for the hypest shit imaginable.

Reading it 4 times really fucking helps, BECAUSE they don't coordinate very well. It depends on your goals for reading the bible.

The Bible is literally a book of books.

In the beginning every Christian church had their own testament. Than the Church Fathers got together and decided what was canon and what wasn't.

Read a version that translates into modern English first, like the NIV. Than go to the kjv is your interested.

Then you want all 4. They're really not the same story in a lot of Ways (Matthew Starts with King David. Mark and John start with Jesus. Luke starts before time exists).

It's also fascinating from a literary/historically informative perspective because we get literally the same event narrated by 4 different people.
