People always want to be hipsters when they name their picks for best US President, but the obvious answers are the right answers.

Washington and Abe were the two best. The first set the precedent of what an American president's core duties are, and kept the office from becoming a dictatorship when he probably could have gotten away with it if he wanted because of how popular he was. Lincoln kept the Union together which is the single most important thing that needed to happen for the US to eventually become a superpower.
