This is a fuckin enormous conversation...
One could say that the plethora of ideological branches are mass feels.
Perhaps some people can be logical because feels are chanelled through the masses.
Repressing them backfires while going with the flow distabilizes you.

Yes, feelings matter. Some of the most basic axioms of ethical philosophy are based on feelings. E.g. the idea "human suffering is bad" is based on emotion and empathy.

The Reals > Feels crowd use that term because their ideology is repulsive and they can only defend themselves by being like "but it's facts, bro" even when it isn't

We should, but most people lack the humility to admit that they often resort to snap judgements and gut instinct when faced with a quandary, just like they lack the introspection and presence of mind to stop, take a step back, and question whether this decision is actually based on a careful consideration of known information or simply prejudice or habit.
