We are sure Christians in 200 believed in the real presence (and all other Catholic/Orthodox things). Apostle John died in the 90s. Unless massive changes happened in 100 years and no one noticed (remember many people still managed to live 80 years back then, and it was the height of the Roman Empire so many were well read and wrote stuff down), then we can infer the real presence is true (assuming Christianity is true). Apostles and their contemporaries wrote Bible based on firsthand and secondhand accounts.
