So can we all agree the way of writing this language is shit and should be overhauled?
I suggest ß, þ and ч get introduced for ss, th, and ch respectivly
And also drop c entirely, it can be replaced by the already existing s and k
Diacritical marks are needed

>ß
Ss rarely occurs in orthography and it's not phonemic. It can just be dropped.
>ч
Why introduce some esoteric slavrune when we can just use 'c' for 'ch'.

Cart and cart. One of these is something you carry things in, the other is a visual way of representing data.

Yes but under the new system, it'd be Kart and Cart respectively.
Tho to reeducate the public on a new system is thankless work, and the less changes the made to fix english, the better.
If naything needs an overhaul, it's sanskrit, mandarin, and finnish.

I suppose it is doable since English has some really lame rules to make it look more like Latin.
But personally prefer language to evolve organically.
>>2231315
implying the way you write a language has anything to do with its actual evolution
>>2231318
Sure I am not aware it ever did, but nowadays it does.

Explain.
>>2231323
>Explain.
Well, I am still wrong, since it only really applies to chatroom and messaging.
I admit to be wrong.

>since English has some really lame rules to make it look more like Latin.
No one seriously follows those. The participle rule is also a great way to spot people you know you won't like.

I do not even remember what it exactly was, Steven Pinker mentioned it once, in a video I think.
I think it had to do with grammar.
>>2231318
The way a language is written is still something that develops and changes naturally over time
How about for just þis þread we use þose?
