You do know Mike King (there is no "dr." -- Boston University officially determined he plagiarized his thesis but refused to do anything about it). Also, there are FBI tapes from the night before his death from inside his hotel, with the sound of glasses clinking and, quote: "I'm f--king for God!" and "I ain't no negro tonight!"

If anyone doesn't believe any of this, I'd be happy to provide the sources.

here's some new info on his..colorful past. and it's not from Stormfront! fancy that!
Mrs King said she believed her husband was ‘no saint’ - but his but his faults were things like stepping out of his pajamas and leaving them on the floor.

The FBI did not share her views and at a press conference in 1964 its director Herbert Hoover called Dr King the ‘most notorious liar in the country’.

A few days later one of his deputies, William Sullivan, wrote a vicious letter to King and gave it to an agent in Miami to post to him in Atlanta.

It became known as the ‘suicide letter’ and called him ‘filthy’ and ‘abnormal’ and urged him to take his own life.

Is it true that MLK was turning into a socialist when he was murdered?

How credible are the rumors of state conspiracy?
>>
>>2232624
>How credible are the rumors of state conspiracy
There's no evidence for it and the assassin's had no connection which seems to discredit the theory. The largest evidence people like to put forward was the civil trial the King family had against the U.S. government regarding a state conspiracy to kill King because of a book which did not contain any sources claimed that it was true. The judge ruled in favor of King on a technicality: The U.S. government failed to even show up because of how ridiculous the claim was. Keep in mind this was a civil trial, not a criminal one, and has no real claim on whether or not the U.S. government did anything because it has no authority on the matter. A Department of Justice investigation into the matter actually investigated the case and found that the King family's claims were completely unfounded and the author of the aforementioned book admitted that he made the whole thing up. Add on the fact that King was a very public and not very protected individual, it's easy to see how a poor Southern white guy could just shoot him after he walked out of his hotel room. Shit, some poor Southern white guys straight up executed Medgar Evars, the head of the NAACP, in his fucking drive way.

>‘most notorious liar in the country’.

He denied communist involvement in the Civil Rights movement despite surrounding himself with avowed communists. That couldn't be a more baldfaced lie.

Coretta Scott King also covered for him in his rampant intellectual piracy, so in a sense, they're birds of a feather.

I wish King hadn't been assassinated. Time would eventually prove him to be a massive fraud.
>>

>He denied communist involvement in the Civil Rights movement despite surrounding himself with avowed communists. That couldn't be a more baldfaced lie.
And yet the FBI monitored the hell out of him and found no evidence of direct involvement from the American Communist Party or the Soviets. Really makes you think.
>>
>>2232835
>And yet the FBI monitored the hell out of him and found no evidence of direct involvement from the American Communist Party or the Soviets. Really makes you think.

If it makes you a Nazi merely to surround yourself with Nazis, then MLK was a communist purely by dint of cramming his entourage with communists. His longtime advisor and secretary Bayard Rustin was an organizer of the Young Communist League. His speechwriter, book editor, event organizer, PR handler, tax advisor, and fundraising kingpin Stanley David Levison was a Communist Party USA leader in the 1950s who reportedly received huge subsidies from the Soviets. King also openly decried the “capitalists of the West,” things such as “profit motives and property rights,” and encouraged his listeners to “question the capitalistic economy.”
>>

Dying was MLK's single greatest accomplishment. No, really. If he had lived, he would've been disgraced and forgotten.

On another note:
>The white liberal differs from the white conservative only in one way: the liberal is more deceitful than the conservative. The liberal is more hypocritical than the conservative. Both want power, but the white liberal is the one who has perfected the art of posing as the Negro’s friend and benefactor; and by winning the friendship, allegiance, and support of the Negro, the white liberal is able to use the Negro as a pawn or tool in this political “football game” that is constantly raging between the white liberals and white conservatives.
>Politically the American Negro is nothing but a football and the white liberals control this mentally dead ball through tricks of tokenism: false promises of integration and civil rights. In this profitable game of deceiving and exploiting the political politician of the American Negro, those white liberals have the willing cooperation of the Negro civil rights leaders. These "leaders" sell out our people for just a few crumbs of token recognition and token gains. These "leaders" are satisfied with token victories and token progress because they themselves are nothing but token leaders.
>>
>>2235365
History continues to vindicate Malcolm X. The vast majority of Black people have not economically advanced in any significant way since the Civil Rights movement. Worse yet, they keep voting for the same party which sells out their plight to business interests, protesting the same issues all while their purported champions abandon any pretenses of leadership save the occasional act of blatant tokenism like putting Tubman on $20 bills.

After the establishment quelled the Civil Rights movement, White American liberals have done nothing for their Colored pets. The same Civil Rights Act, which got more congressional approval by Republicans much to the chagrin of Southern Democrats, has solved none of their problems. Remember the NAACP had to beg New York Democrats to stop building public housing in Yonkers. Remember that teachers unions funnel all the sub-par teachers into the poorest (and usually blackest) districts, and any opposition to their broken system is spun as a "war on education".

But perhaps I'm wrong. What would those poor downtrodden Negroes do without the proud and righteous White Liberals and trendy left-wing agitators to herald them into success?

Proofs?
>The "Beyond Vietnam" speech reflected King's evolving political advocacy in his later years, which paralleled the teachings of the progressive Highlander Research and Education Center, with which he was affiliated.[136][137] King began to speak of the need for fundamental changes in the political and economic life of the nation, and more frequently expressed his opposition to the war and his desire to see a redistribution of resources to correct racial and economic injustice.[138] He guarded his language in public to avoid being linked to communism by his enemies, but in private he sometimes spoke of his support for democratic socialism.[139][140] In a 1952 letter to Coretta Scott, he said: "I imagine you already know that I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic ..."[141] In one speech, he stated that "something is wrong with capitalism" and claimed, "There must be a better distribution of wealth, and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialism."[142] King had read Marx while at Morehouse, but while he rejected "traditional capitalism", he also rejected communism because of its "materialistic interpretation of history" that denied religion, its "ethical relativism", and its "political totalitarianism".[143]

His own words don't sustain the argument that he is not a social democrat.

>Social democracy is a political, social and economic ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a capitalist economy, and a policy regime involving a commitment to representative democracy, measures for income redistribution, and regulation of the economy in the general interest and welfare state provisions.
From wikipedia.

He ticks every single one of these boxes toward the end of Where Do We Go From Here:
>Truth is found neither in traditional capitalism nor in classical Communism. Each represents a partial truth. Capitalism fails to see the truth in collectivism. Communism fails to see the truth in individualism. Capitalism fails to realize that life is social. Communism fails to realize that life is personal. The good and just society is neither the thesis of capitalism nor the antithesis of Communism, but a socially conscious democracy which reconciles the truths of individualism and collectivism.

He sees 'capitalist' developments in the communist countries as progress toward this:
>We have seen some moves in this direction. The Soviet Union has gradually moved away from its rigid Communism and begun to concern itself with consumer products, art and a general increase in benefits to the individual citizen.

He considers social programs in the west equivalent progress:
>At the same time, through constant social reforms, we have seen many modifications in laissez-faire captialism.
>>
>>2239005
While he is critical of capitalist excess, he doesn't suggest replacing the overall framework. He is consistently aligned with consumerism, which he sees as a tool for democracy - visible in his strategic use of boycotts. He says:
>The key word in Operation Breadbasket is "respect"; it says in substance, "If you respect my dollars, you must respect my person. If you respect my quantitative support, then you must respect the quality of my job and my basic material needs."

>We must create full employment or we must create incomes. People must be made consumers by one method or the other.

>Negroes, who have a double disability, will have a greater effect on discrimination when they have the additional weapon of cash to use in their struggle.
