But the discussion is about Polish Ukrainians (I assume this is referring to ethnic Ukrainians who were resident in the pre-war Poland), this is basically irrelevant. They would only have had contact with the NKVD after September 1939, and the source says Jews were only 4% of the NKVD by July 1939.

Because the Poles, Ukainians and Balts hated the Soviet invaders and once the German occupied the territories they told them long stories that Commies = Jews.
