I am not seeing a Philosopher.
Only redditors like him

Honestly Socrates. I love him but he really hasn't contributed anything near as much as Aristotle or even Plato but he's probably more popular than both of them.

Isn't the general consensus Plato = Socrates?
>>2213103
to be fair
Socrates also thought himself overrated

Only when he was younger

Is he popular anywhere but /his/? I never even heard anyone say "Stirner" in real life.

But, Anon, Plato is Socrates (with some co-ownership on Xenophon's side). Some even posit that Socrates never existed, and was merely a fictional character Plato used to demonstrate parables of the dialectic. Either way, the only records we have of him are from those two, and they are always used in such a way that Socrates is the protagonist by way of example.

Well, the meme started on /lit/ way before /his/ even existed, so there's definitely at least one other place he's popular

Luke Skywalker is still more popular than George Lucas.
