Sure sure. Leibniz just so happened to get to see Newton's work before he "independently" discovered it. Newton was having a correspondence with one of Leibniz's buddies and he left the paper lying about when Leibniz came around.
He also stole most of his philosophical ideas from Spinoza, but Spinoza didn't really care.
