You figure Russia sided with the allies, and the destruction of the Ottoman Empire, German Empire and Austro-Hungarian Empire was eminent. This means Russia couldn't have been part of a new Holy Alliance to counter liberalism.

I'd imagine a nationalist faction would rise up similar to what China had during their civil war, followed by more commies regrouping and going at it again.
