Can someone tell me why so many people think the Rhodeisians were the good guys again?

Zimbabwe aka Rhodesia has the highest literacy rate in Africa, more than the countries which Europeans never colonized like Ethiopia or Liberia.

It also had the largest black middle class in Africa (%-wise) during Rhodesia times.
