Is he the most underrated emperor?
Basil the Bulgar-slayer is the most underrated imo
>>2183356
Majorian is imo, by far.

How the fuck do you underrate a Sociopath? Tiberius was batshit crazy on toast. Claudius, Majorian, Claudius Gothicus and Severus Alexander were underrated.
Aurelian was instrumental to ending the Crisis of the Third Century and restoring the Empire after years of division and he is barely remembered for anything other than those walls.

I was gonna say the conquering of the world also
Undoubtly.
>>2183356
Caligula
>>2183356
No, but he's second
Nero, killed Christians and doesn't afraid of anything
>>2183955
>sociopath
How is this relevant to whether he was a good emperor or not?
>>2183955
sociopath yes
but being the first successor after the founder (not counting Julius Caesar because he died seconds before he got the title) and keeping the sovereignty afloat is not an easy feat

Isn't it fucking sad? Betrayed by a fucking German, who if I recall correctly was the same guy responsible for deposing Majorian's predecessor.
