What does /his/ think of slam poetry?

>Look at how profound and deep I am!
less slam poets and more slam pigs, I say
The only poetry worth a damn

I don't know if they're trying to be deep, but every poetry slam I've ever been to (on a college campus) was 40% non-white girls writing about the political topics of the day and how much they hate/resent their white classmates, 50% white girls talking about being sexually assaulted/raped, 5% white guys who treated it like stand up comedy, and 5% original poetry.

I try not to think about it, but when I do, I don't think very much of it.
How is this thread not breaking any rules? Is this shit really part of the board's acceptable content?

No, but mods are asleep

Repeal humanities to leave no doubt. That and philosophyfags should all be gassed.
I love poetry. I hate poems that are about social justice, not because I'm uncomfortable or something. But because it's topically dry. Write something original, fucking hell

No, but it is also not worth discussing in /lit/, especially since it seems to be suffering from an e-celeb epidemic.
