Iwo Jima was a fucking bloodbath, fights like Iwo and Okinawa must've made it really easy to opt out for nuking Japan instead of invading.

Peleliu was another bitter battle but the Marine persevered regardless, its a shame that it was overshadowed by the Phillipine Campaign but theres no denying the importance of the Phillipine Campaign
