What is your opinion on labour vouchers?

Well, it'll certainly give ammo to the "thats not true socialism, that's state capitalism" crowd
How it is different from money???

when it inevitably fails*
it's a cool idea but how do you calculate socially necessary labor time
If a house is supposed to be sold for 10,000 labor hours because that's how many labor hours it took to construct it does a guy who had a comfy job in an air conditioned office purchase it with the same amount of labor hours as the guy who works in the rock quarries?
Marxists literally don't have an answer.
I like it because it eliminates (((interest))) and (((speculation))) though.

Interest is an unfortunate consequence of the overexpansion of agricultural technology and the usurious practices of the trading merchants in the 17th century.
It is literally not necessary in a perfect economic world, say many neoclassicists.

> Marxists literally don't have an answer.
What? You can literally calculate amount of any work in calories.

>A tribe can worship a stick
>Stick has no labour input
>Tribe has given it value above literally everything else they own (greater marginal utility)
>Marxists literally have no answer to this

So people who do more arduous work get paid more? I understand there is certainly a problem in America with white collar professions and overpaying them and college tuition driving up the price of these idle jobs, but don't you think that there might be some truth to finding intellectual employment substantially sound and deserving of higher wages?
What we need are real wages, calculated with inflation, moving through time, corresponding to a certain amount of work done. Fuck these nominal wages, they only drive up the cost of interest during transitionary periods or economic busts, both of which are occurring more and more these days.

kill the tribe, ban stick worshippinig, problem solved.
>>2149609
That's not entirely fair. One could say that social or creative labor was invested to convince the rest of the tribe that the stick is more special than other sticks laying around on the ground.

we need to seize the means of production
