Why does everyone seem to glorify hunter gatherer societies? John Green's video on it was one of the most laughably inaccurate portrayals of the Paleolithic age I've ever seen.
People want to believe that there's an easy solution to humanities problems.
"Dude just be like a caveman lmao" is an easy solution.

Isn't there archaeological evidence to support that they frequently resorted to cannibalism and infanticide to stop the overpopulation of people in individual tribes and parties?
It's ironic that the only people who still glorify it are hardcore liberals/Marxists.

It depends on the society.
The Papuan natives seem to be extremely violent, whereas the San have never been observed to engage in warfare.
Certainly, there are a decent number of skeletons with fractured skulls and so on from that period.

I remember seeing one dude saying that the skeletal remains were fake because logically if the population kept going up than they couldn't have ever had to sacrifice people.
It's almost like they didn't sacrifice enough people or people still fucked and had babies and never really figured out why overpopulation was becoming a problem or something.

Depends
The Maori were cartoon villains while the Pygmies barely have a concept of inter human violence
