The entire ghist of fascism is that SUPPOSEDLY one guy is the middleman and he alone makes sure markets are efficient and people are getting paid.

It is extrenely hard to sustain when tens of millions of people, even the poor, genetically take the financial path of least resistance.

It almost was, Golda Meir visited the USSR multiple times and was on friendly terms, it wasn't until LBJ's increase of military aid to 170 million annually (triple that of the Kennedy administration), his stopping of the pressure to end their nuclear program and his gifting of numerous weapons to them that the US/Israel relationship was solidified. Nasser would eventually increase "socialist" programs (despite being really a nationalist) and court the USSR (the US/Nasser relationship ended with Kennedy's death).
