Why do some cults view themselves as "always right" while they regard everyone else as "always wrong?"

Ask Protestants. They practically invented basing a religion around a single man

Why does any person view himself as "always right"? Should be obvious desu.

Can you tell me of a "cult" that does not gain followers by posing as the ultimate spiritual authority? Isn't that true to all religions?
>>2137188
Ask yourself why cults are "always wrong" and yourself "always right"?
The underlying rationalization mechanism is the same, just different flavors.

It takes a certain amount of mental effort to understanding something and cults employ a variety of strategies to make that process more difficult. You can probably witness most of them on 4chan used by trolls.
It's not religions: It is specific people, who sometimes present as religious, that "need" to be "right" because they're severely inadequate and insecure. For these people, to "not be right" is to be "not in control of their environment and this terrifies them."
These people are easy to identify: Every fifth word will be "right?, you know?, you know what I mean? am I wrong?" (Go ahead, tell them they're wrong!)
For females, it's usually "like, you know, like I went to, like to the mall, right and like..."
Sixty-year-old valley girls are obnoxious and pretentious. Sometimes their fake makes me physically ill. But the guys are equally disturbing and creepy, too.
Why do the fuck does this question even need to be asked? Isn't it obvious?
