>Winson Churchill was such a great leader!
Why not? Having another Neville Chamberlain as Prime Minister would have meant you lose the fucking war.

He was though, niggerfaggot.

>everything commonly agreed on in history is wrong and i'm going to be smug about it like it's obvious
/his/ in a nutshell. sigh
>He was a Warmonger
>The world needed a Warmonger
You can argue on whether or not he had any fruitful Peacetime ability, but if there's a Hitler running around, you need a Churchill
>he's great because he never gave up!
>he saved the world from nazis!
Brits actually think this.

Yes, he did. Your 'X actually thinks this' and /int/ memes don't change this.
Had Churchill not taken office, it's very likely Britain would've negotiated peace with Germany during the Battle of Britain.
With Britain knocked out of the war, Germany and Italy can focus 100% of their resources against Russia, and not need to divert men to North Africa. Finally, with Britain put of the war , D-Day can't happen if the US joins the war.

this tbqh.
He was the man Britain needed to lead her through WW2. However, he was not the man she needed to lead her through the postwar peace, which is why he got the boot so soon afterwards.

He did get reelected, though.
That said, it's hard to judge Churchill's peace time leading ability, primarily because England was in such a bed of shit right after WW2.
