I mean, you know that there is no difference in objective "worth" between mass culture and high culture, right? I will concede that works of high culture tend to be much more complex (in terms of plot or message etc.), and for that reason much more enjoyable to people who like thinking of and analyzing art. And, yes, some of those works might change you or make you understand a formerly alien viewpoint. But there really isn't any reason to abhor consuming works of mass culture if you enjoy them.
