Explain Arminianism to me, /his/.
>>2114723
Basically God looked into the future before creation and saw which people would choose to accept Jesus and then predestined those people to be saved. Its main distinction from Calvinist soteriology is that it emphasizes individual human agency or 'free will' in cooperating with the Holy Spirit.

>it's an unfunny turk
Surprise, surprise.

Honestly I don't understand well the differences between arminianism and lutheranism.
Both schools teach that you are save thanks to Jesus through Faith. And both of two also preach that Faith is conditional.

>>2114809
It's preordained /on the condition/ that the elect would have chosen to follow Jesus even had it not been preordained.
Yes this is somewhat convoluted which is why Calvinism dominates.

hmm thanks anon, it's tricky
what denoms are most influenced by arminianism today?

John Wesley's Methodist movement is the largest and most influential one.
