We're biblical prophecies written after the fact in order to make them line up with history ?
And what did the Bible prophecise?

Most early prophecy appears to be an artifact of visionary mysticism, at least in the OT. See: Ezekiel, Daniel, etc.
>>2071427
Not all of them, some are just construed to fit future events. Something common with all sorts of prophecies

You're not counting the minor prophets though. a lot of prophecies were oracles against other nations. even in Ezekiel you have an oracle predicting the destruction of Tyre. Also Daniel generally agreed to be a forgery from the 3rd or 2nd century B.C. I forget which.

>oracles against other nations
Still products of mysticism; this is not incompatible with state politics. See: Kalachakra tantra and its prophecies w/r/t Islam.
>Also Daniel generally agreed to be a forgery from the 3rd or 2nd century
Which is still in the timeframe for Merkavah mysticism and probably some early Hekhalot materials.

Nahum 3
>Woe to the bloody city!
>it is all full of lies and robbery;
>the prey departeth not;
>2 the noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels,
>and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
>3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear:
>and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases;
>and there is none end of their corpses;
>they stumble upon their corpses:
>4 because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts,
>that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
>5 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts;
>and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face,
>and I will shew the nations thy nakedness,
>and the kingdoms thy shame.
>6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile,
>and will set thee as a gazingstock.
>7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee,
>and say, Nineveh is laid waste:
>who will bemoan her?
>whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
What exactly about this is mysticism? this is representative of a huge swath of prophecy in the bible: nothing that I'd call mystic thought, just pure "hehe YHWH's gonna wreck your shit you fucker."
Were all these bullshit, written after the fact?

even worse: some of them aren't even prophecy or have being horribly misinterpreted. Isaiah 7:14 isn't even about the Messiah and it says nothing about a virgin. it's fulfilled in Isaiah shortly after the prophecy is made.
