Try it with an inverted ratio of Rhodok Sharpshooters to Sergeants. On single player I've won some pretty pitched battles with 70+ sharps, companion cavalry, and a dozen each of rhodok, swadian and nord top tier infantry so I can cycle each set out as they take casualties.

The redpill of m and b is learning to use castles to store and create more top tier troops.

I'd use captured vaegir land to get castles and later cities where I could store hundreds of huscarls, make more, store, and make more. It got to the point where I could start a rebellion.

I want to see if the same can be done with the Swadians, but while Khergits are spooky if you don't know how to handle them in the open field, they can't play the fortifications game.

I usually trap them by castling. Even with Swadian Knights I make them stand ground and as the khershits all concentrate on my one formation, we trap them and smackem.

I just can't seem to get into the single player. I like playing multiplayer, especially deathmatches, but the single player just doesn't do it for me.
How can I get into the right mindset to enjoy single player, or what are usally the first steps to be truly 'free' to do what I want? I also want to have huge battles and sieges, but the starting point where you're still a poor fuck gobbling on a Lord's ballsack for money and shit is just... crap.

The moment your crossbows run out of ammo, I order mine to stop firing, march my infantry in an orderly fashion to one side, and have them engage you on the flank which my cav do not occupy. once the inf have engaged, I order the crossbows to open up again (their line of sight unobstructed and mostly aiming at men facing 90 degrees away from them). Then I order the cav to full charge straight into your men's backs.

Gotta maneuver to stay alive man, can't put all your men in one blob on one hill and expect to win against a comparable force.

Just do some tourneys that gets you enough money to buy property in whatever the richest city is. Now you can build an army in like an hour and you have enough renown from the tourneys to get ennobled by basically anyone you want.

It's really not fair to blame Gavrillo when there are plenty of points that WW1 could have not become that.
