Not a huge deal, so I'd say no. The consequence if the people's crusade was minimal for Europe. I would sooner opt for wars that were actually disastrous for the losing nation. The fact that 100000-200000 peasants died mostly from disease on a voluntary death march is tragic, but it was of little consequence for the millions back home.
