Can atheist believe in afterlife?
>>2055467
uh yeah, just gotta make up a belief system that doesn't involve gods
>>2055467
fair enough, if a christian can believe in evolution
Sure, gods and afterlife are not logically inseperable.
Yes, you're allowed believe in whatever the fuck you want.

is this West World?
>>2055537
I don't understand, are you asking me where you are? How the fuck should I know? I guess?
>>2055543
just sounded like a quote from this fine madam
>>2055551
I have no idea who she is.
Well, yes, it's literally in the word, 'after' their 'life'. Atheists are concerned with leaving a world behind that is in a better state than they've found it. I'm not even an Dawkinsite and even I know that
>>2055500
yeah its possible
>>2055467
If they believe in souls and ascension or nirvana or whatever.
>>2055467
Atheists aren't a consolidated group like certain faiths are, so they can pretty much believe whatever they want.
Faith-based belief system would disqualify them from being considered atheists though. The only truly atheistic view of the afterlife is "like before you were born" or "I don't know."

I believe in skeptics heaven

in actuality, anyone can hope in heaven. life is pretty shitty if we just cease to exist after death. But if you really think about it, everything that "animates" your body leaves after you die. It can make sense to hope that that "life-ness" goes somewhere where it is fulfilled.

>implying relativism
i'd say there is truth regardless of mere opinion, anon

>i'd say there is truth regardless of mere opinion, anon
That's not relevant. OP asked if he (an atheist) can believe or not.
>>2055467
You can believe in whatever you want, the question is can you prove it?
>>2055467
Atheist just means a lack of belief in deities, anything else is just up to the individual. Some (but not all) Buddhist sects are atheist but they believe in shit like the samsara and enlightenment.
