Either don't talk about it at all or focus more on Mussolini and point out that he wasn't an ebul racist but was a civic nationalist, unlike Hitler, and did not try to murder anyone based on their religion or race.

Also point out that Italy under Mussolini was one of the first countries in Europe if not the first to introduce social security among other things.

Reading recommendations? Read Rocco's and Musso's Doctrines, but kinda want more. Paxton's Anatomy of Fascism is a very good historic overview, but talks little of ideology.
