Why Eastern Galicia didn't become ethnically Polish?
It was annexed by Poland in 14th century, gone to Austria after the Partitions and became the main center of Ukrainian nationalism in 20th century.
Were 4 centuries not enough for assimilation of all local people?

No one gave a shit about polonizing them up to 20th century.
Large cities were owned by Poles and Jews.

Forgot to add.
But by the time of 20th century it was already too late since Austrians have been working on Ukrainian nationalism.

But nobles were polonized quite successfully. Didn’t polonized nobles try to polonize their serfs? How Polish and polonized nobles in different territories (core Poland, Lithuania, Galicia and other Ruthenian lands) saw their serfs, as fellow Poles or as Spartans saw helots?

They probably didn't give a shit about them, because they thought it wouldn't be needed.
Great portion of Belarusians and Ukrainians polonized when the Red Army entered Poland though, they refused to be under Russia and conscripted into Polish Army.

Why would the nobles care about serfs
