Is there a more pointless discipline than epistomology?

nihilism

Many times two are connected.

Before shittalking a field, you should write it correctly.
That being said, to answer that question, you actually need epistemology.

I do enjoy epistemology.
But I feel like the only result that you can get is that every knowledge has to be based on an assumption at one point.
This would have no to little impact on practical life.
Sidenote:
I feel like "cogito ergo sum" is not the right result for Descartes radical doubt.
I mean this conclusion implies that logical laws are true.
But if he doubts everything he also cant know if contradictions (like: Even though I use mind it doesnt exists) are possible.
That means if you are radically doubting everything that you cant know for sure you get nothing as result. Therefore you need to make assumptions like "logical laws are true" to go on.
I am not sure if I expressed my thoughts properly. I would be glad if someone could tell me if I made a mistake.
