Can one stop being a nihilist?
>>2005493
Yep, especially once you hit 20.
>>2005493
No, but nihilism is not a depressing position but a life-affirming one. Nothing in life matters! All those worries and guilts and desperate yearnings, trivial and irrelevant against the reality of Cosmic indifference! This is a wonderful thing, it frees us from the mind-prisons that shackle so many people and allows us to find meaning in our lives without worrying that we're valuing the "wrong" things.

You can build off of it, but you cant "stop being one" if you truely understand it. People who claim its a phase or say they have just decided to disregard it are either:
A. People who never really understood it and just want to participate in discussion
B. Delusional weaklings who would rather live in a fantasy than in reality

Yes you can, a true nihilist would have to base his actions and the way he goes about them off of his beliefs. One can stop being nihilist while still understanding it at the same time. Finding value in actions/life is not building off of nihilism, but ceasing to hold that belief system to be true.
>>2005888
but anon understanding implies meaning and meaning doesn't exist in a nihilistic universe
>>2005493
you need to realise your delusions.
Just like any other religion.
Just one belief among any

>>2005599
I honestly don't know why people don't think this way.

they can
all they need to do is tell us the meaning of life
Sure, just find peace through Allah.
