Because morality is a self-contained 'sensibility' and there is nothing truly universal about it. 'Moral' and 'immoral' basically boil down to what is deemed to be fair, just, etc with the according antitheses. You cannot define justness or fairness without delving into the particulars of human nature, or eusocial animals generally. Moral or ethical principles are true insofar as they are true to yourself, that they express your moral nature. You can't formulate anything beyond that, morality is a quirk of certain social animals and systematizing it and universalizing it seems to ignore that exclusive and confined functional role.
