Medieval 2 total war is my favorite game of all time. I still don't get bored with it.I got Attila recently and I think it's okay but the mechanics got too arcady, it doesn't suck me in. Roleplay basically means what game mode, and they have several.

Battle RP-The most common one, on about 80% of the time is:
-3 rounds, maximum 12 or so minutes each
-You pick a class and follow that classes officer
-Cavalry follows the general
-If someone surrenders you have to kill them by firing line
-You can't run off alone

That's the extent of the "roleplay." Chat is just banter.

There are a few reasons you don't see naval anymore.
Yes, I agree that done correctly a 200 player Naval Battle has potential to be great, but the thing you have to remember is that players aren't obedient toys to use to craft some "epic" match, but are people looking to play a video game.
The following immediately happens with too many people on a Naval map:

>The boats sail off without everyone on them
>If artillery or nades are on, they immediately get sunk
>People mass-drown trying to jump on boats and missing
>People kick each other off boats
>People fight for control of boats
>People deliberately delay by sailing boats away from each other
>One big ship inevitably sinks and makes the chat fill up with spam

As a general policy we don't put Naval on with more than 50 or 60 players, because it just doesn't work.

Just playing German North Sea campaign. Literally wrecked them in three major battles and now they have only 3 battlecruisers and 25 battleships.
I have 6 BC's and 18 battleships. Only lost one in the second battle when it exploded after one hit to the magazine in literally first minute of battle.
And for some reason my gunnery is superb while their sucks.
Though I had shitload of luck in all three battles.
It's 1917 and I need one more decisive battle before Americans battleships come.
This game is a beast.

Napoleonic Wars has a genuinely great community on most servers. I haven't played in a while, but l loved making friends on Deathmatch, that almost never happens in other games where everyone's out to kill each other.

The actual ship battles are great, but everything is so spaced out you'll spend hours sailing across empty ocean to trade from one port to another. Having only 200 players online exaggerates this.

Also the development is so slow and updates are underwhelming, I'd avoid until the developers show some promise and get content out besides a simple diplomatic system and a "pray" button that literally does absolutely nothing besides take up space on the screen

A majority of the ones who "opposed" revoking the rule are often openly racist in chat or in the shoutbox on the forum.
The rule was literally only in place because the staff are all told from the start that it has to be.

An increasing number of staff are just normal players, often with a history of bans, who joined to stop the actual shit admins fucking up the server i.e Walter, iskrax, esdeath, etc.


Players who bitch in chat about admins being evil and bad and tyrannical are the biggest fags on the server.

I used to go on 15th frequently but I quit for 33rd bot survival and NRP. 15th was cool at first but after playing the same map for like the 25th time it got a bit boring. the problem with bot sieges is that bots are retarded at pathing and won't operate stuff like artillery, tnt, and jumping over objects. This means that maps have to be desgined to be traversable by bots meaning maps that are artillery dependent are non-existent and fort designs are usually simple so bots don't get stuck. The AI is a better fighter than the majority of pubshitters but players have the advantage of jumping and crouching, which for some reason bots can't hit people crouching with a bayonet.

Just under the top middle of the triangle of the aiming thing is the spot for accurate shots on all weapons.

You can get frequent head shots on even pistols if you aim at the nipples with the top of the triangle aim thingy.

Musketoons are the same. Always align triangle with nipples then fire at still target and get chest or head shot. If above target fire at crotch length as the bullet fires high when you aim low for some reason.

Remember, nipples when normal, crotch when high. All weapons become good shootings then.

most guns actually have really exagerated recoil and sway in the beginning, so it's a pain to level them up to the point they're usable and fun like the PPSH-43.

There are a load of improvements over Gettysburg.

What I really like about Kaiserreich is the different outcomes of big events. The German Empire wins the second weltkreig every time I play, yet my most recent game as National France the Commune absolutley steam-rolled the German empire and Austria combied while canada somehow managed to liberate the British Isles which also nevers happens in my games. Now the German remnants joined the Entente and its pretty much the entire world vs continental Europe under Commune of France
