Alright /his/, help this baka anon out.
I have kinda subscribed to the idea that Italy has been shit at war.
That for some reason they have always retardedly gone into battle with stupid tank designs, half assed plans, low morale, and no strategy.
Show me otherwise.

That's like the participation prize, and most of Austro-Hungary was busy getting their asses kicked by the Russians.
Other than that, during Italian unification they did have military victories.

The Army wasn't great, but low morale was more due to a lack of faith in leadership than any inherent Italian inferiority. Italians under German command in North Africa were more than adequate, especially given they had been essentially routed mere weeks ago under Italian leadership.
The Navy wasn't bad. They had some impressive designs and pulled off some daring amphibious raids (i.e. using frogmen to blow up British battleships at Alexandria) and managed to put up a decent fight against the technologically and numerically superior Royal Navy. Ultimately they were done in by low industrial capacity and resource limitations.
The Regia Aeronautica also performed relatively well, and some of their later airplane designs (i.e. the Fiat G55) impressed Luftwaffe test pilots enough that they recommended manufacturing that German factories manufacture them.
