Bit of an obscure question, I know. But if the Allies lost World War One, what could have happened to Italy? Split back into its component parts? Devolve into a Bolshevik revolution? An earlier/accelerated slide into fascism?

I Imagine Austria would have retaken its former Italian territory and set up a couple of satellites in the North as happened after the Napoleonic wars. Then the remainder roughly constituting what was the Papal states and Two Sicilies would remain as the Italian state.
Whether or not it would transform into a fascist or communist-led state I don't think it's possible to know.
short of possessing a time machine, there is literally no way of knowing
Not a huge difference.
Consider that despite Italy winning they basically lost, they got nothing for their victory but debt, loss of life, unemployment and extremist parties.

One can speculate and pull stuff out of nowhere, but it's much better to simply go to the actual plans the Central Powers had already made during the war for dealing with defeated enemies.
A plan existed for France and one for Russia, which was actually put into practice, so one must also exist for Italy.
