I'm a history major too. I choose this after I failed math. My country has a rule that if you fail one major you can either retry it again or choose another subject for free. So that's why I choose history. I may go into politics after I finish it.

I feel like my history degree was a mistake. I absolutely enjoy the subject and I think the knowledge is valuable, but it seems like a degree that requires more degrees to become useful career-wise. I finally had to bite the bullet and go to grad school, but I live in Burgerland, so it ain't free.

I dropped out after 2 semesters because all that happened was 30 minute arguments of a liberal vs conservative arguing over what happened 1,200 years ago was right or wrong according to today's standards. The professor had no control over students and they would just go off on retarded rants the entire class that has no purpose in history class. I felt like I was taking a political science class.

I still study some specific courses related to Greek history, Christian history, Islamic history, etc. but being a history major must suck dick. Getting an accounting degree so I can make $60K a year doing work for 50% of the time I'm at work and shitpost the rest.
