Post bizzare weapons. It's supposed to be a sword.
>>1937196
Now that's really fucking edgy.
This belongs on /k/ tho
>>1937201
historical weapons should be no problem on /his/.
>>1937196
How are you supposed to wield this?
I mean come on how is this thing even useful
>>1937243
It doubles as club.
>>1938239
wtf i love anime now
>>1937196
Wtf is it with Indians and edgy gimmick weapons?
>>1937196
This is a Lang Xian (Wolf's Lance)
It is a pike made out of a bamboo tree tipped with a spearhead with some of its branches left on. It is basically an area denial weapon used initially versus wild animals and afterwards versus pirates.
>>1938438
The Lang Xian's most famous usage was its role in Qi Jiguang's "Mandarin Duck Formation." A small unit tactic developed to fight pirates, Lang Xian men would position themselves in the flanks to drive usually sword armed infantry into spearmen. If the spears missed, swordsmen inserted between the gaps will engage the cunt.

it really should have been an eight-branched sword
>>1938893
The tang can be 8th branch. Legend says the inscription reads "Check E'm".
>>1937196
Yo dawg, I heard you like swords...
>>1938239
Whaaaaaat?
>>1938401
Good god those things are sexy as fuck. I know they don't work that well in real life but there's just something about them that makes them so cool. I just wanna touch them and handle them, I just wanna be with them.
Another weapon from India. This is a whip sword and you might remember it from Berserk (it was used by Silat)
Gonna dump few more indian swords
And here we have african weapons.
those are throwing knives (also african) notice the cock shaped blades to fuck your enemy over
Maori katana shaped tooth sword for maximum edge.

Some of the African swords deals Quad Damage.

> Aesthetic pistol/sword combinations that would be horrible to use as either.
>>1938239
Someone finally figured out how to turn the Nanbu into a practical weapon.
>>1940534
Is that just a revolver with a kitchen knife pinned to it as a bayonet?
>>1938401
I totally want this weapon in a zombie apoc.
>>1940691
This thing seems an executioner sword or a prestige weapon, to unwieldy for actual combat.
>>1939110
When the fuck was that produced?
>>1940806
hi lindybeige
>>1940731
He doesn't know about the Norwegian post office knife-pistol
Here's a protector palm pistol.
>>1940806
>to unwieldy for actual combat.
Remember /his/ alot of times whenever someone's said this, some badass mofo used what it was said they didn't use
>>1940806
I remember someone saying the exact same thing about dane axe.
>>1941116
>>1941158
Searching it a bit, it's categorized as an execution sword in the Brooklyn museum, from the Ngbaka people. Goodle it if you guys want.
The Macuahuitl
Used by Native Americans (mainly the Meshika people)
They didn't have metallurgy skills so they relied on obsidian blades
>>1941177
It's not a bizzare weapon. The design makes a lot of sense given the resources they had and the enemies they fought.
I never understood why the first swords looked like this.
>>1941354
To chop better. And not ''first swords'' because straight ones existed as well dumb americunt.
>>1941354
aparently the hook was used to pull a shield open or away from an enemy, and the point at the end still has some stabbing use since it was in line with the handle enough
>>1941177
It must be a wicked weapon considering that obsidian is sharper than steel.
>>1940691
Now that is a cool looking weapon! Should be called the Sword of the Sun or something
>>1938888
The shichihito?
You're telling me Ace Attorney wasn't making that up?
>>1941354
I always thought it was fashioned after sickles after they started to double as war weapons.
>>1941878
Some Spanish conquistadores claimed to have seen natives able to decapitate horses with one swing.
>>1942682
I read the text a while back and don't recall exactly what it said, but I think it wasn't decapitation.
Probably more effective as a fashion statement than a weapon.
>>1940543
>When you got dinner a 7, but got to assassinate someone at 8
>>1941878
Against flesh probably but its worthless against metal armour
>>1943690

Nope. And neither's pic related you've probably seen before too.
>>1946157
those artifacts were never found, tho
they are recreations
>>1946554
They were thrown into the sea a thousand years ago by a particularly salty loser after a civil war and then "miraculously washed ashore." We have no idea if they were authentic after that point but we can assume they were at least convincing forgeries.
>>1946157
The one in the regalia aside, magatama were common as hell.
post more 'legendary' weapons
>>1946157
what's it called
>>1937210
That's a lantern shield.
Daft looking thing designed for defending fortresses.
I don't imagine they were ever popular; I can imagine some medieval salesman in a three-wheeled cart flogging them castle to castle and getting a lot of portcullises slammed in his face
Anime tier.
Why were Indians so edgy?
>>1939933
It's straight out of Bloodborne, oh sweet child of Kosm
>>1945233
Looks like a tank from an early 3d game from the 90s
>>1946585

Can't find a good pic of Dainsleif. >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A1insleif
>'Thou hast made this offer over-late, if thou wouldst make peace: for now I have drawn Dáinsleif, which the dwarves made, and which must cause a man's death every time it is bared,[1] nor ever fails in its stroke; moreover, the wound heals not if one be scratched with it.'
Here's unbreakable pic related though.

I know. But it's a 'legendary' weapon and bumps the thread. And like >>1946157 it probably didn't look much like that but it did exist, in one form or another at some point.
