I want to learn latin and greek and study theology in its original translations. What would be the best way to do so?
Are their trilingual English/Lati/Greek bibles on the market?

What do you want to say here? 'The language of the Romans and apostles'?
That would be 'lingua Romanorum et apostolorum'.

Aramaic/Hebrew and Greek are the 'originals'. Latin is useful only as a language of subsequent theology.

PS. The 'apostles' spoke Aramaic.

Not OP but if you know, how hard is it to not only read latin, but to he able to more or less fluently articulate ideas in it, in a modern setting? I see some forums where people speak Latin to each other but I don't know whether that's more meticulous translation or natural language use.

And then there's these guys for example, novaroma.org, many of their pages aren't even in latin. They have translations from a ton of other languages but often not latin, which they say is important to know. None of their pages are written colloquially, so it would seem like making latin versions or even composing them originally in latin would be simple since it would be just straight grammar, very objective tone, no beautiful prose, no rhetoric, no colloquialisms.

So what's stopping people from actually reviving the language if so many people are into that?

I honestly don't understand how people ever communicated in casual settings with Classical Latin, but it must have happened for the language to develop in the first place. Vulgar Latin, on the other hand, is perfectly understandable.
>>

What are some grammatical differences?

I only know very basics of classical latin tho
>>
>>1937920
Vulgar Latin used articles, lost the neuter gender and generally used less declensions. I'm not an expert on it, though.

OP here
I took 4 years of french so i at least can wrap my head around conjugation

So youd reccomend vulgar latin then?
>>

I doubt there are resources for "Vulgar Latin", considering it wasn't really documented and instead got reconstructed back from the modern languages, and there was probably never one single language called Vulgar Latin.

It would also be useless unless what you want is to learn other Romance languages or to talk to other nerds you can convince of learning it, since everything ever written in Latin is written in Classical (or Church) Latin.
